Overcoming Logistical Challenges to Create a First-Class Brand Experience
Through determination, resilience and unparalleled expertise, Infocus Design has managed to successfully complete a first-class brand experience for Sony Australia and New Zealand during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The trans-Tasman installation presented immense logistical challenges, given the travel restrictions that were present during most of 2020. With a brief from Sony to create their flagship store within the Sylvia Park Shopping Centre in Auckland, Infocus Design delivered a sophisticated design which guaranteed brand consistency and enhanced customer engagement by reflecting the appearance of Sony’s Australian stores.
Efficient logistics and project management were crucial in order to meet the store fitout’s tight deadline. All joinery was built in-house and shipped in two 40 foot containers from Infocus Design’s Lane Cove premises. Upon arrival the installation was completed by our trusted New Zealand partner.
The resulting open plan space includes an immersive Bravia TV wall, a dedicated audio experience bar, camera demonstrations and customer unboxing station.
The new store elevates the Sony brand in New Zealand and promotes an authentic customer retail experience and timeless environment that will remain a ‘place to be seen’ for many years to come.
